Youth Engagement

Outreach programs for youth that reside in under-served communities, or have lack of access to maritime interactive and educational programs.

Day 3-16.jpg

2026 Registration Open

Future Mariners

Provides free first time sailing access to youth ages 7-14 who identify with BIPOC heritage or reside in a historically underserved community. This years sailing experience is in continued partnership with Sail Rockaway.

We're pleased to announce a more in depth experience this year. While we'd like to serve more youth, unfortunately, we're limited in our resources. That doesn't stop us from creating in depth access, and this year's participants will engage in a 5 day thoughtfully crafted curriculum. Extending an impactful maritime experience to eight interest youth.

Registration is now open and is first come first serve. The 2026 session starts August 10th and ends August 14th, operating 10am-4pm daily. Registration will remain open until we have fully committed participants. A short waitlist will be maintained to accommodate any last minute cancellations.

Our partnerships in outreach programs are intended to create awareness and promote engaging interactive programs. Bridging access to the industry and aiming to address the inequity of maritime school enrollment. Creating a spark of interest that will pave the way for historically under-served youth to aspire toward careers in the maritime industry.

We aim to support youth with access to maritime field trips. If you're a youth Program Director, or Administrator seeking assistance with educational field trip support contact us. Organizations with mission alignment are invited to reach out for collaborative partnerships as well.
